Accommodation

Skukuza Rest Camp Kruger National Park

Delegates are reminded that booking of accommodation for their requirements for the conference is their own responsibility. DANA Ltd will not be making any accommodation bookings however for a limited amount of time the conference centre has reserved accommodation for delegates attending our conference.

Bookings must be made as follows:

1/ Email specialisedreservations@sanparks.org with the details of the requested booking

2/ The following booking reservation number must be quoted R5399171

3/ To confirm, accommodation payment must be made to SanParks

Please note the following:

This is the only accommodation available for this period and so bookings cannot be made through the SanParks website or central reservations.

1/ As you are booked for the conference the daily conservation fees that are usually charged if you stay in the Kruger Park will not be charged for the period of the conference (this does not include the field trip) however they would be charged if you choose to stay over for additional night days either before or after the conference.

2/ If you choose this accommodation option, you would collect your keys from the conference venue and not from the main reception.

3/ There are different accommodation options at Skukuza. A description of each type can be found on the following link: https://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/tourism/accommodation.php

4/ Bookings can be made on a bed/breakfast or dinner/bed/breakfast as well as self-catering basis.

5/ Should you wish to stay outside of the Kruger Park please note that there are specific opening and closing times at the entrance gates to the Kruger Park. The Skukuza management will arrange for a vehicle to fetch and drop delegates off at the Paul Kruger gate after hours (no private vehicles would be allowed to exit the gate after hours) however the delegate would have to arrange to park their vehicles at the gate or at the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate (prior arrangements would have to be made) and there is limited parking at the gate. Paul Kruger Gate times during September are opening 6 am and closing 6 pm.

The Conference organisers advise that the best accommodation option, owing to proximity to the conference venue is at Skukuza. However, should you not wish to stay in the Kruger Park accommodation can be found at:

Protea Hotel Kruger Gate (12km from the conference venue)

Hazyview:

Please note that the drive from Hazyview to Paul Kruger Gate takes approximately an hour owing to speed restrictions and traffic. Time must also be allowed for signing in at the Paul Kruger Gate and the 50km/hr speed restriction once in the park.
