Danny Knoesen is currently General Manager of NCT Forestry Agricultural Co-Operative Ltd. in South Africa. NCT has 3 operational Wood Chip lines situated in Richards Bay and Durban, supplying approximately 1m BDMT of hardwood chips to international markets each year. NCT Forestry Agricultural Cooperative has 1800 active members, representing almost 300 000 ha of plantation land in South Africa. Danny has been managing NCT’s Wood Chipping operations and sales since 2013. Danny also plays an active role in the Ports of Richards Bay and Durban, serving on several oversight committees and represents cargo owners across many commodity lines in this capacity, and is a member of the executive committee of Forestry South Africa.

Danny has spent 30 years in the forestry, paper and pulp industry, starting his career with Sappi South Africa as an engineer. His career experience also includes manufacturing, commercial, logistical, sales and marketing roles, prior to joining NCT.

Danny holds a graduate degree in Engineering from the University of Natal, Durban.
