Doug started his forestry career nearly 25 years ago in the pulp and paper industry with Daio Paper Corporation in Tokyo Japan as Strategy and Procurement Advisor in their Forest Resources Department.

After 7 years on the buyer’s side meeting suppliers from around the world, Doug shifted to the supplier’s side in 2005, where he held a senior executive role with a large publicly listed Australian plantation company and later a senior position in Forestry Tasmania.

Doug is now Deputy General Manager Marketing at Midway Limited a publicly listed integrated forestry business with operations in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and Northern Territory exporting over 1 million BDMT of woodchips per annum into China and Japan.
