David Evans is Principal and Director of Globeforce Trading Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne Australia.

He was until recently for several years Director of New Forests Timber Products, one of the two largest woodchip exporters from Australia.

David has been a senior hardwood woodchip price negotiator for Australia for over 25 years into Asian markets. His Asian experience has included 16 years with Sumitomo Corp and Sumitomo Australia in Coal and Power Station Development. For 17 years, David was resident in Tokyo managing North Asian business for the then North Limited / North Forest Products / Gunns Limited.

He was Manager of two Plantation Joint Ventures in Tasmania from 2003-2012, and was also Director of PEFC Promotions in Tokyo for 10 years. In total, David has sold over 110 million Green Metric Tonnes of woodchips, valued at around USD 10 billion over the last 28 years.

David has an MBA University of Queensland specialising in International Finance and Marketing, and is fluent in Japanese.
