Claudio Ortolan
Director of Forest Strategy and Planning, Klabin, Brazil
Claudio Ortolan, graduated in Chemical Engineering with extension in Economic Engineering. He has worked more than 40 years in the forest product industry in a diversity of companies. In 1996 he was the Brazilian representative at the WFI – World Forest Institute in Portland, Oregon. In 1997, he joined Klabin as forest projects manager. From 2009 to 2014 he was Director of Investments for Brazil at GFP – a TIMO, timber investment management organization. Between 2014 and 2016 he was senior principal consultant at Poÿry Management Consulting. In 2022, he rejoined Klabin, now holds a position as Director of Forest Strategy and Planning. Klabin is the largest paper producer in Brazil, a large pine and eucalyptus plantation timberland holder and a significant player in the forest industry in South America.
