Felipe was born in Santiago, Chile, March the 18th 1975.  He is a Forest Engineer since year 2000, he got this degree al the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He started working in Arauco the same year at the company’s research area Bioforest until 2004. During this time, he joined a team dedicated to the characterization of the forest assets and stumpage in the south of Chile, taking detailed information of technological properties of pine wood and eucalypt fiber quality.

From 2004 to 2009 he worked as a chief supervisor of forest harvest operations in Arauco area, with the responsibility of getting on time the required demand of regional saw mills and pulp mill In 2009 he took the position of Head of the Planning Area, in charge of the design of roads, allocation of harvest technologies and transport optimization of the Arauco area forests. Since 2011 he started working in the commercial area, in charge of wood purchase in the trader’s market, prices negotiation, third parties forest stands prospection and strategic supply planning. During 2018 the company started to merge administrative and operational areas, and he took the global responsibility of wood purchase planning and develop supply agreements with major owners and companies in Chile.  He leads a team composed by 27 collaborators, focused in agree and concrete the external supply required for our industries from Constitucion to Valdivia, including panels, boards, sawmills and pulp mills, including mapa and dissolving pulp in Valdivia.

Since October 2023 his area is in charge of establishing and developing new plantation agreements with smaller companies, land owners and foresters, in order to support and ensure the sustainability of the resource for future supply; including several kinds of contacts, trespassing our clonal material and supporting them in all the forest management.
