Stephen has 40 years of experience in the Australian Forest and Forest products industry. He has worked for almost 30 years with Midway Limited in several senior management roles including resource supply, operations, plantation estate management, and development. In the development role, CIF sales were established to China in 2013. Since 2016 Stephen has been in the GM of Marketing role overseeing woodchip sales of around 1 million BDMT pa to all the major pulp and paper manufacturers in Japan and China. Over the last 10 years, these sales have averaged 50% FOB and 50% CIF with around 200 voyages chartered from 12 vessel owners.

Before joining Midway Stephen worked for Forests NSW and CSIRO.

Stephen graduated from the Australian National University with a BSc (Forestry) in 1984 and has since completed a Diploma of Management (Deakin University) and the Senior Executive Program at Stanford University in 2012.
