Andrew Wye
Principal, AKZM Forest Consulting
Andrew is a Forester from ANU and successful executive with over 30 years’ experience in both natural forests and plantations (for more see Linkedin profile).
He has mainly worked for large corporations as well as companies based in NZ and Malaysia and sold products into Japan, China, Vietnam and Malaysia.
This has provided the opportunity to observe the rise in the late 80s of hardwood plantations as part of pulp and paper projects, the impact of MIS on estates in the 2000s and more recently, the idea of emerging engineered and solid wood products; as native forest access is reduced and woodchip markets mature.
He has recently decided to jump back on the Wallabies train.
