Ian is an Executive Management Consultant with over 20 years experience reporting to and operating at Board level and as a CEO/GM of large forestry corporations in Australia and overseas.

Ians background is primarily in the management of commercial forestry businesses, including all aspects of plantation forest management in both tropical and cool-temperate environments.

After a successful 20 year career in CEO and General Manager positions, the latest being as GM of Stora Ensos forestry business in China (The Nordic Renewable Materials Company), Ian has transitioned to advisory services as a Consulting Forester and Board Member.

Ian has spent a life-time managing all aspects of commercial plantation forestry businesses in both Australia and overseas and has overseen the planting of more than 0.35 billion seedlings in his various roles.

Ian is highly resilient, having implemented significant cultural change, and major improvements in the fundamental building blocks of Ethics, Compliance, Occupational, Health and Safety, and Sustainability in challenging situations.

Ian has managed world-class plantation estates and culturally diverse work forces in both Australia and China. He has exposure to forest operations in the Nordics, Uruguay and Brazil. In his various roles, he has gained extensive experience in engaging with government and community
