John grew up in Oregon and attended Oregon State University. He’s been in the timber industry for 38 years, all but three years in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. He started in forest management and log procurement, then moved into sawmill management, managing sawmills in Oregon, Washington and Virginia. He joined Roseburg Forest Products in 2020 as the Wood Fiber Manager and is now Manager of Chips and the Coos Bay Shipping Terminal, exporting wood chips to Japan and China.
