Alexander Comerford is the founder and CEO of Sustainable Pellets - a fully integrated brokerage and consultancy firm specializing in biomass pellets, pulp chips and logs for international trade. Alexander began his career as a commodity broker, focusing on the Agri sector and over 10 years ago made the switch to focus entirely on the forestry/wood product market. A Master of Business and Spanish from the University of Glasgow, Alexander has lived in South America for over 20 years, with experience living in Argentina, Chile, Brazil and now Uruguay. Whilst he is focused on the global trade of the above commodities, his focus is Latin America with a solid level of experience developing new projects for biomass, chips and log exports across multiple countries. Alexander also provides support and consultancy for specific project development, having taken an active role in the development of pellet and wood chip projects in Canada, SE USA, Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
