Hannu Silventoinen, M.Sc. (Eng.) has more than 35 years of experience in wood processing field helping the customers to find best solutions and processes for their investments in Pulp & Paper, fiberboard and biomass based energy plants. He is part of global management team of ANDRITZ Wood Processing, which is the leading supplier of wood processing systems and plants worldwide. Hannu has been leading the sales and marketing activities globally for more than 20 years and his expertise covers all needed process steps in woodyards: starting from logyard management with cranes, debarking and chipping plants, chip screening stations, chip storage systems, bark processing and storages, biomass preparation plants etc.

In his current position, Vice President, Go-to-market Management, he is responsible to generate customer and market insights, develop and launch solutions, offerings and business models to meet the changing needs of the customers covering the whole life-cycle of the plant. New offering portfolio includes also ANDRITZ Metris Smart Wood Processing Solutions (Digital IIoT Solutions), with clear target to reach autonomous operation in woodyards.
