Petteri Pihlajamäki has over 30 years of experience in developing strategies for and leading the change in forestry and bio industry businesses worldwide. During his career he has led AFRY’s (former Pöyry) forest industry consulting in Europe, as well as AFRY’s global forestry consulting operations for over 15 years’ time period, launching their expansion to digitalization and forest carbon. Petteri works currently as Business Development Director of AFRY’s global bio industry consulting.

Petteri has capability to combine complex fibre resource, market, competitiveness and environmental issues into strategic plans and advice to improve business performance and shareholder value. He has accumulated a large experience in forestry, wood and biomass markets, investment strategy, valuation and appraisal, and transaction assignments for leading institutional investors and corporations. In his assignments, Petteri has gained extensive experience in Europe, Russia, North and South America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific region.
